2021 Winners

The Mercury Club is proud to announce the winners of this years’ Hy Truman/Donald Goldberg and Hy Truman/Rae Kleinbaum Memorial Awards. Jacob T Silverman is the 85th male winner and Josie Fieldman is the 34th female winner. Silverman graduated from Breck School and Fieldman graduated from Hopkins High School.

Jacob was a First Team All-State soccer player as well as a Honorable Mention All Conference hockey player. Jacob kept very busy in his high school career, both as a two-sport athlete and being involved with multiple extracurricular activities, including volunteer groups and Breck's chess club, where he competed at the national level. Jacob will be attending USC next year and intends to continue playing club soccer.

Josie Fieldman




Josie was a team captain and a First Team All-State soccer player. Even with her club teams keeping her busy, traveling all over the country (and even internationally in Sweden!), school was a priority, maintaining great grades and even becoming Sports Editor of the Hopkins High School newspaper. Josie will continue her soccer career at North Dakota State University.

The Mercury Club is proud to announce the winners of this years’ Hy Truman/Donald Goldberg and Hy Truman/Rae Kleinbaum Memorial Awards. Branson Appelman is the 88th   male winner and Rose Neuman is the 37th female winner.  Branson Appelman Branson Appelman is the 88th  male winner of the Hy Truman-Donald Goldberg Memorial Award.  He has always wanted to play hockey at the highest level and because he lives in Maple Grove, Minnesota, he had to leave the state to do so.  Minnesota High School rules do not allow a player to play AAA hockey and high school hockey at the same time.  His junior high years were spent in Omaha, NE, and his high school years were spent in St. Louis, MO. playing AAA hockey.  Every school year he would leave home to play both high school and AAA hockey.  In the summer he would return home to train.  He also found time to play Lacrosse in the spring.  He was an all-state goalie, captain of his team and compiled a 92-36 record in four seasons at the AAA level.  He

2018 Winners

MERCURY CLUB 2018 – PRESS RELEASE The Mercury Club is very proud to announce that Hallie Greenberg and Drew Galinson are the winners of the 2017-2018 Hy Truman/Donald Goldberg Memorial Award. Hallie is the 31st female winner and Drew is the 82nd male winner. Both Hallie and Drew will be graduating from Wayzata High School next month. Hallie played tennis and golf. She was captain of the golf team and has been an All Conference golfer for 3 years as well as being a top finisher in various Minnesota Junior PGA events. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin next fall. Drew was a standout soccer and basketball player as well as being a captain in both sports. He was an All Conference basketball selection in 2017 and 2018 and received first team All State honors in his senior year in soccer in addition to All Conference in 2017 and 2018. Drew will be attending the University of Minnesota in the fall. Both Hallie and Drew will receive $1000 scholarships from the Marvin
