The Mercury Club is celebrating its 103rd anniversary and is proud to announce this year’s winners of what is believed to be the longest running Jewish scholar-athlete award in America. Jacob Rothman from Hopkins is the 87th winner of the Hy Truman/Donald Goldberg Memorial Award and Maya Mor from Minnetonka is the 36 th winner of the Hy Truman/Rae Kleinbaum Memorial Award. Both will receive $1000.00 scholarships from the Marvin Wolfenson family and the Mercury Club. Jacob Rothman Rothman was a three-year letter winner on the Hopkins basketball team. The team finished with a season record of 19-9, and Rothman was awarded Honorable Mention for the Lake Conference. He has also been on the A Honor Roll for three years.
